Sabu Martinez - Jazz Espagnole (1961)

(ALLEGRE EAB-145).

One of the best latin(and)jazz LP from the cuban conga player Sabu Martinez (1930-1979). The album is produced by Al Santiago, Allegre label founder.
Sabu played this session with Frankie Malangre's band, including:
Marty Sheller: Trumpet
Bobby Porcelli: Alto sax
Arty Jenkins: Piano
Bill Slater: bass
(Percussion: Sabu Martinez, Louie Ramirez, Ernie Newsum)
Various descargas, cha cha and mambos, make the whole records enjoyable, remaining always jazzy and groovy, like following samba inspired track.
